Privacy Policy for Fluxor
Last Updated: August 20, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the Free version of Fluxor: the local-first, single-user productivity app. In the Free version, all data is stored on your device and no data is collected by us.
If you use Fluxor Pro (team SaaS subscription) or Enterprise (self-managed backend), different terms apply because project data is processed by a backend service or your organization's infrastructure. Please refer to the subscription or enterprise agreement for those versions.
1. Data You Create Locally
The Free version of Fluxor does not collect any data. All data you create remains on your device.
1.1 Data You Store Locally
You may create and store the following data locally in Fluxor:
- Projects & Tasks: Project descriptions, task lists, notes, and metadata.
- Notes & Workspace Documents: Free-form notes, project documentation, and workspace documents you create while planning and researching.
- Collaboration Information: Comments, assignments, and coordination details for team projects.
- Focus Timer Records: Session logs and productivity tracking data (stored locally only).
- Research & Planning Data: AI-assisted planning outputs, research summaries, and daily reports.
This data is stored exclusively on your device. Fluxor does not collect, access, or transmit any of this information.
1.2 No Automatic Data Collection
Fluxor does not collect:
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Device information
- Crash reports or error data
- Any information about how you use the app
No data about your activity is transmitted anywhere.
2. How We Use Your Data
In the Free version, we use your data only to:
- Core Functionality: Store and retrieve your projects, tasks, and coordination data locally.
- AI Features: Provide AI-assisted planning, research summarization, and daily report generation (processed locally).
- Support: Respond to your inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
- Security: Detect and prevent unauthorized access to local files.
3. Data Storage & Processing
3.1 Local Storage
- In the Free version, all project data is stored locally on your computer in your user data directory.
- No data is transmitted to Fluxor remote servers or cloud infrastructure.
- Data is not encrypted by default; secure your local device and user account accordingly.
3.2 No External Services
- The Free version of Fluxor does not connect to remote servers, cloud services, or external AI providers by default.
- All processing and storage happens exclusively on your local machine.
- If you configure optional third-party integrations (e.g., external API endpoints), data may be sent to those services per your configuration.
4. Data Sharing
In the Free version, we do not sell, rent, collect, or share your personal data.
Data remains exclusively on your device. No data is shared with external parties unless:
- Manual Export: You explicitly export or share data through in-app features.
- Third-Party Integration: You configure optional integrations with external services.
- Legal Compliance: If legally required by law enforcement (if the App connects to any backend in the future).
5. Your Data Rights
In the Free version, all your data is stored locally on your device, so you have complete control:
- Access: Your data files are stored in your local user data directory.
- Modification: Edit or delete any project, task, or data at any time within Fluxor.
- Deletion: Permanently delete your data by removing files from your device.
- Export: Export your project data in standard formats.
- Backup & Restore: Back up your local data directory or restore from backups as needed.
You do not need to contact us to manage your data—you have direct access and control.
6. Data Retention
In the Free version, you have full control over your local data:
- While Using Fluxor: Your data remains stored locally for as long as you keep the App installed.
- Deleted Data: When you delete a project or task in Fluxor, it is permanently removed from your device.
- Uninstalling Fluxor: When you uninstall the App, your local data may remain in the user data directory until you manually delete it.
7. Security
In the Free version, all data is stored locally on your device:
- Your data security depends on your device's physical and software security.
- Keep your operating system and Fluxor updated to the latest versions.
- Use strong Windows passwords and enable Windows Security features.
- Back up your local data to secure external storage if needed.
- Fluxor does not implement per-file encryption by default; consider using device-level encryption (e.g., BitLocker) for sensitive data.
The Free version has no remote infrastructure to secure, audit, or monitor. Security responsibility rests with you.
9. No International Data Transfers
Since all data is stored locally on your device in the Free version, there are no international data transfers. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly configure external integrations.
10. Third-Party Services
The Free version of Fluxor is designed for local-only operation and does not integrate with third-party services by default. If you choose to configure optional integrations (e.g., exporting to cloud storage, connecting to external APIs), those services will have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them before enabling integrations.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Free-version Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised policy with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Fluxor constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
